About

Just who is Just School Furniture?

With the restructuring of the Education Department and the advent of Tomorrows Schools, schools were faced with sourcing their own supplies. A niche was formed for furniture  manufacturers and amongst, them Just School Furniture Limited, firstly as a supplier to the now defunct Pro Ed and now, 14 years on as a direct seller to schools.

Just School Furniture is committed to offering quality furniture at a reasonable price to all schools.

Over the years our product range has grown as a direct result of enquiries and requests from New Zealand schools. We have responded to these enquiries by going out into the market place and sourcing what is required. Our suppliers are all well known names in the education sector and provide only top quality products. We are also proud of the fact that over 95% of our product is produced here in New Zealand.

Our custom design service means you get exactly what you want and our knowledge in what can and can't be achieved within your budget ensures you get the best product.

Just School Furniture prides itself on the service. We offer one of  the main reasons we are told, for our customers to keep coming back is our"Nothings a Problem" attitude and our willingness to go that extra mile.

Introducing the Team

Brent Atkins

Brent Atkins - Managing Director

Brent has a long history in the furniture market and has been visiting schools from Picton to Kurow for the past fourteen years. He has become a well known face and people know they will receive exceptional service with a smile and a joke, whether they are after a tip for their chair or need a complete Lundia Mobile Shelving System.

Recently Brent has started calling on the lower half of the South Island where he has been greeted very warmly and looks set to become a very familiar face with the schools of the deep South!

Jackie Atkins - Administrator

Jackie Atkins

Many years working in the finance sector  has impressed on Jackie the need for excellent customer service and this is what she brings to Just School Furniture when dealing with all aspects  of the business. Jackie is responsible for the setting up of systems and  the  operations that go into the  overall  structure behind Just School Furniture.

Jackie oversees all the day to day tasks in the office, processing orders and answering customer enquiries etc. She is also responsible for all the marketing material, catalogue's and fliers handed out by Just School Furniture Ltd, dealing with suppliers and keeping the Web Site up to date with specials each term.

David Sandford - Installer

David Sandford

David is a fully qualified carpenter who completed his apprenticeship in the late seventies. He is a bit of a perfectionist, is thorough and finishes his work to a high standard. And yes, he always cleans up after himself.

He worked on several projects when starting as a carpenter including Halls of Residence at Canterbury University and The Hermitage at Mount Cook. He has built a total of four houses for his family over the years and has been working for himself for the past two years, when he began contracting for Just School Furniture Ltd. So as you can see, David's experience means he is able to handle any situation that may arise and resolve any problems that may occur to everyone's satisfaction.

Roger Wyeth -  Accounts Administrator

Kia Ora

Let me introduce myself. I'm Roger Wyeth. People call me 'Rog' for short (amongst other things). When my parents called me Roger, I knew I was in trouble!

I have been with JSF since February 2010 as Accounts Administrator and I love it.  Both Brent & Jackie have got a great business going here, and the more people out there that know about the company, the better.

Where have I been during my life.  Well I was brought in a fishing village 40+k's north of Dunedin and educated in Dunedin. Now don't hold that against me, those of you north of the Waitaki. You all know the saying "you can take the boy out of the country but you can't take the country out of the boy".  I worked for a national retail company for many years and through employment our family found our way to Christchurch in 1990.  My wife is the Associate Principal at a private girl's school and we have two adult children and one very precious grandson. The mid 1990's saw me being employed by a local Iwi which I must say taught me a great deal about myself, who I was and where I came from.  Following this I owned my own rental vehicle franchise and now I am back in the business world and hopefully I can contribute to to the ongoing success of JSF.
